I decided it might be time to upgrade the old CPU. I’m currently running a Ryzen 7 3700x.
This cpu has been a work horse for me over the past few years. Ran a bunch of fun VMs and just gaming was such a blast on it. It was my first AMD processor from my old Intel i7 3770k. Ahh the glory days of Intel 🥲. But now it’s time to move to the new hot thing.
I will be upgrading to the Ryzen 9 9950x3d.
Just from looking at the numbers, it should be a pretty big upgrade. I feel like my 3080ti was getting bottle necked by my aging CPU. I’m kinda hoping this fixes that issue and maybe i’ll get more FPS in games 🤷♀️.
Looking to replace a bit, just because i’ve had a lot of these parts for well..decades. I will say EVGA makes some crazy good PSUs. I just realized I’ve had the same one since 2015. That 10-year warranty held on tight geez. Still works too..
I will try to post some pics of my old computer and the new one. Still waiting for the parts to arrive. Just gotta patiently wait now..
